Provident Asset Advisory LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you visit providentassetadvisory.net (the “Site”), take our Operating Self-Assessment, book a call, purchase our products, or otherwise interact with us.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Name and email address when you take the Operating Self-Assessment, subscribe to our email list, request resources, book a call, or purchase products;
- Assessment responses and related business details you choose to provide, such as portfolio size, number of properties or units, your role, and your reason for reaching out, along with the score and result band generated by the assessment;
- Payment information, which is processed by our third-party merchant of record and payment providers; we do not store full payment card details on our servers;
- Communications you send to us, including email replies, contact form submissions, and information shared during calls or engagements.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- IP address and approximate geographic location;
- Browser type, operating system, and device information;
- Pages visited, time on page, links clicked, and referral source;
- Data generated by security and bot-protection technologies used to protect our forms (see Section 4).
1.3 Information from third parties
We may receive limited information from the service providers we use to operate the Site and communicate with you, such as delivery and engagement data from our email provider. If we later run advertising, we may receive information from advertising platforms about how you interacted with our ads.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Site, the Product, and the Advisory Services;
- Score and deliver your Operating Self-Assessment results and tag your interests so we can send relevant follow-up;
- Process payments and deliver products you purchase;
- Schedule and conduct calls and advisory engagements you request;
- Send you email content you signed up to receive, and respond to your inquiries and provide support;
- Send marketing communications about our products and services, which you may opt out of at any time;
- Analyze Site usage to improve content and user experience;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, spam, security threats, and technical issues; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below.
3.1 Service providers
We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:
- Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record and payment provider, to process transactions and handle applicable tax;
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit), our email provider, to deliver emails and manage subscriber lists and tags;
- Calendly, our scheduling provider, to book calls;
- SiteGround, our website hosting and infrastructure provider;
- Cloudflare, whose services we use for security and bot protection on our forms; and
- If enabled in the future, analytics and advertising providers to measure Site usage and advertising.
These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes for which we share it and to maintain reasonable security measures. Each provider maintains its own privacy practices.
3.2 Legal compliance
We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Company or others.
3.3 Business transfers
If Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, financing, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of it. We will notify you of any such transfer and any choices you may have.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, protect our forms from spam and abuse, and analyze usage. Bot-protection technology on our forms may process limited technical signals from your browser to distinguish humans from automated traffic. If we enable analytics or advertising technologies in the future, this section will be updated to describe them. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.
5. Your Privacy Rights
5.1 General rights
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions;
- Opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe link in every marketing email; and
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information.
5.2 Virginia residents (VCDPA)
Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Virginia residents may access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, and opt out of the processing of personal data for targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@providentassetadvisory.net. We will respond within 45 days of a verifiable request, as the VCDPA requires.
5.3 Other US states
Residents of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights. To exercise them, contact us at contact@providentassetadvisory.net and identify your state of residence.
5.4 EU and UK residents (GDPR)
If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our legal bases for processing include performance of a contract, legitimate interest for analytics and marketing, and consent for cookies and certain communications.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Subscribers who unsubscribe are kept on a suppression list to honor that choice. Purchase records are retained for at least the period required by tax and accounting law.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.
9. International Users
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time and will post the updated version with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify subscribers by email.
